I’m going through changes
“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall,” says Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby. What I remember most about The Great Gatsby is a torturous discussion in high school English about what the green light on the dock symbolized, but when I looked her up, I found out that she’s a “beautiful, cynical young woman.” My favorite kind of person to take advice from!
Justin feels similarly. So we decided the first week in October was go-time for making our apartment even more awesome. I called dibs on the bathroom, where our need for a new shower curtain was even greater than Miller Lite’s need to put those “no homo” commercials out of their misery. Justin put in a request, though. “Can you make it an interesting curtain this time?” he emailed.
Done! Who doesn’t love group showers with a bunch of owls? Hello, friends!

Justin took on the living room, which included bringing his childhood couch to his post-college home. He loves this seat so much he slept on it instead of his bed one night. I’m monitoring the situation.

He also bought a splashy, sizable television. I feel like I could curl up inside it, which is comforting, and it really does make our living room look more polished.

Well, as polished as anywhere with an inflatable moose head mounted on the wall can look.
